smelling burning wiring!!! now truck wont start! injectors not firing tested with node light. Is the ecm behind emerg brake peddle?

Yes, but only accessible from under the hood. Open hood look behind driver side wheel well, on the lower right firewall. There is a long thing plug with a bunch of wires going to it. That's the eec. It takes a 10mm socket to loosen the wiring harness, and then two small, I think 7/16" nuts to remove the rubber seal before the eec will slide out. You will have to remove some bolts in your inner fender well and then pry down on the fender well from the outside while sliding the eec out through the opening.

 

found ECM, thanks! autozone wanted 318.00$ for a new one! went to pull a part got one for 35.00$. Installed truck fired right up! thanks for the post!!!
