I have a super rare 1978 F350 Camper Special. This truck is super clean inside and out, and has only a little over 69,000 original miles! I purchased it from the original owner about a month ago, but I have found I just don't have the space for it. In 1990 the original carbureted 460 was replaced with a fuel injected 460 from a 1989 model with only 600 miles on it. So the motor has even less miles than the truck itself. Let me tell you, this truck runs like a top! Brakes, tires, and wheels are all new. These F350 Camper Special pickups are really rare as not too many were built, and even less have survived today, much less in this condition. Truly a unique and rare find. A very solid clean truck. Being a 78 model and a 1 ton, this truck is exempt from catalytic converter and emissions requirements which means you can go crazy with it performance wise. I hate to sell it and it even hurts to write this add, but I just don't have the space for another truck. I think my price is fair, as I have seen these sell for over $16,000.
There is no rust on this truck except a tiny spot on the top of the cab by the drip rails on the passenger side. It is not rusted through just needs to be sanded down, primered and painted. Except for a couple typical rock chips, the paint on this truck is excellent and has a great shine. The interior is super clean, no fading, or rips or tears in the seat or dash. Floor pans and bed floor are solid as a rock. The air conditioner does work, but needs to be recharged so it can blow cold. This truck runs as good or maybe better than a new one.
