Im ready to order all the parts for my front end rebuild. Ball joints, inner seals and complete tie rod kit. thanks to all of you on all the part numbers to do this job.
as i was ordering the tie rod kit, it asked if my truck has a dana 60 ??
i have a 02 250 SD 4x4. how do i check or is the 60 the normal axel ??

My 01 has a sticker on the back side of the axle. Visible next to the pumpkin but you have to crawl under the truck and wipe off the grime. Apparently, most trucks have a sticker on the drivers door pillar that will list a code for the axle as well. FYI my 01 has a Dana 50 front.

 

Read this, go down to page 59. Your truck has a Dana 50 front axle.

I just rebuilt a dana 60 to swap for my dana 50. I bought all the seals and ball joints from fleet pride, they had the best prices and its all dana/spicer parts.

 

well. buy looking up the 6111591 number on the dana site. it says its a 60.. am i wrong ??

All my research says dana 60 also.

 

02+ has a Dana 60.

 

'02 was a transitional year, some are D50 and some are D60. Best to check the axle tag to be sure, if that doesn't say then look at the numbers stamped in the back of the passenger side tube.
