Its an 88 with 91,000 original kms

Old guy bought it new just to tow his camper, he passed away and his son decided to sell it. God bless his soul I scooped it up off of Kijiji.
The brown paint was original, the flat paint scheme is what I did as soon as I got it home. =)

What really sold me on this truck was the fact that it has an engine brake.

Now all it needs are some stacks and a turbo, what do yall think?

Hey thanks for making the pics show up, yeah it was installed on the truck when I got it.

Is it not a typical gauge?

I sanded it first, the clear coat on the original paint was wore off so it took nothing to sand it. I basically just roughed it up and hit it with spray paint. It's going to be a work truck so I just wanted a cheap paint job.

As for rust, the undercarriage has some but the body was in immaculate shape. I used maybe a tennis ball size of body fill on the entire truck.

I've never seen this year of a truck in this good of shape for the area though. (Nova Scotia, Canada)

Yeah you guys are lucky that way, makes me want to move there just for the no rusting factor.

Def gonna get it under coated, it has 91 000 original kms or 56,000 miles to you guys, so I wanna keep it working good.

It's my first diesel, any other tips?

your going to fall right in love with that IDI.one of the best engines to ever be placed in these trucks (i wouldn't want anything else personally,after having mine for a little over a year.)
here's a good place to start since it's your first diesel;

I already love it, I've driven a few new diesels (turbo powerstrokes) and I think I like mine better =)

Thanks for the article I'm reading now.

Is yours a dump box?
