I'm looking for a rear bumper and bumper brackets, and want to see and hear about yours... Anyone getting rid of theirs?

Rear bumper?

Does it need a rear bumper? I skipped that on my '60.

Big IV, No they don't have to have a rear bumper, but with wanting to do a fuel tank swap to the rear of my truck I want some protection back there.

One sold on ebay for like 600 bucks a while back. Sure did impress me! And it needed work! That should make mine worth 1000? haha I am surprised no one has reproduced them

Since it's not for sale, I'll give you $50 for it.

I made this bumper. 2x4 tubing, cut and rounded the ends, with tubing on the edge to give a finished look. The license plate surround is just hot rolled strap from the hardware store. The license plate lights are pep boys specials, with the wiring through the bumper. It's painted hammertone silver. I moved the stock brackets forward on the frame by redrilling the frame. Under the plate is a 2" hitch receiver for bike racks and such, or if I have to tow in a pinch. The plate bracket is a pivoting thing from a GM car so I can lift the plate to reach the hitch. Also through the plate bracket is access to the spare tire winch to lower the spare with a home made crank.

WOW! I really Like that!! Hidding the hitch behind the plate is a great idea... you made this thing look totally professional, I got respect for that, Nice work
