the one i replaced it with was from autozone. i just got it back together today and still the same thing. is there an adjustment on this system or could there still be air in the system? would it be better to just gravity bleed the system or do it similar to brakes?

i wouldnt be surprised if the autozone slave failed with 75k on it. but yeah, try bleeding it again the same way you would do brakes. take your time with an assistant and check closely to see if bubbles come out.

You sure you don't have the clutch disc in backwards?

I see you have a 90. The 87-89's had the firewall flex problem.
One of the fixes was to install a small retainer bracket that bolted to the two
clutch master cylinder studs from inside the cab.

You can see if you have the firewall flex problem by pressing
down on the clutch pedal. Look under the hood and see if
the plate that the clutch master cylinder is mounted to pulls
away from the firewall.

Also the plastic bushings the clutch pedal shaft rotates on
wear out and can cause improper clutch pedal travel.
