Another stumbling question

Hello all. I have a light throttle miss we can't seem to pinpoint. We have no CELs at this time but we have seem codes for EGR and catylitic. I took EGR off and it looked clean so I re-installed it. Is it possiable the cats are clogged? It seems to run better when cool than in the heat of the day.

Should I have a muffler shop make a new y pipe with just 1 or 2 cats? What about the o2 sensors (4).

could it be the dpfe sensors? where are they? what should they look like if good or bad.

Thanks.

Wow, I was pretty vague.
OK, recent Motorcraft plugs & wires and Fuel Filter (10K miles ago max) recent air filter too. 02 sensors are within 15K miles, all 4 changed at same time. Good battery and ground is clean. Small 90 degree hose under throttle body was replaced with the plastic line and the hose on the end that goes to the back of the passenger side if the intake.
Don't know how the cats are; without remove and replace Y pipe, how can you tell if they are good or bad?
Interested in this DPFE sensor from previous post... Where is it and what does it do?
