Im going to be changing out the front disc. and I know that the front drivers side caliper needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Ive been doing a search on how to rebuild he Caliper but cant find any information.The rebuild kit is like $12 vs a new caliper $50+ . The front caliper has a small tear in the rubber. Does anyone have any experience in rebuilding the caliper. I just need to replace that rubber. does it just pull off ? any links or info appreciated. Thanks

 

There's more to rebuilding a caliper than just changing a piece of rubber. Do it wrong, fail to hone the chamber properly, or leave even a littlest bit of dirt in there during assembly, and your brakes can fail. IMHO, pay the extra $38 for the new one, you'll sleep better at night.
