Advertising got you. "10,00-Lb. G.V.W." It would take 4 of these ramps to support a 10k vehicle. That's 2500 # per ramp. I don't think I would want to use these on a 1/2 ton let alone a 3/4 or 1 ton.

Well I have ditched going with ramps. A good 3+ ton rated floor jack with a cross beam adapter like this one...

2 Ton Cross Beam Adapter fits Floor Jack 4000 lb: LD-4002 Toolz Unlimited

... is the way to go. But I can not find one rated for more than 2 tons and the front axle has 4700+ pounds on it (it's a diesel). As the engineer in me says "thou shall not overload your equipment", anyone know of a 3+ ton rated cross beam adapter, and a compatible floor jack? Suggestions for jack stands would be appreciated too, ones with a nice wide stable base.

Thanks!

Steve

No way that I would work under a floor jack, your life is hinging on the hydraulic parts in the unit. If a seal blows or another part gives out you could die. Even large vehicle lifts don't depend entirely on the hydraulics alone.

Northern has jackstands up to about 20 ton.

Not sure where to get the cross beam adapter. I only used mine on a light passenger vehicle to avoid damaging the pumpkin while inserting jack stands.
