Question HiBoy and Divorced Trannys?

Hi Guys. I am now an owner of my second '77 f-150 Custom 4x4, had to sell the first, and have read a lot of talk about HiBoys on this sight. What is meant by the divorced transfer case and Hi Boys. I just pulled the 351m out of my truck so I could change the rear main seal and put in a new clutch and never had to jack the truck up so I could get under it and unbolt everything. Were these truck just made higher some how?

A DIVORCED TRANSFER CASE IS CONNECTED TO THE TRANSMISION BY A DRIVE LINE. THESE TRUCKS HAVE THREE DRIVE LINES. THEY ALSO HAVE WHAT IS TO SIMPLIFY THINGS A FACTORY LIFT KIT.
