My $500 F250! (Lots of Pics)

So, basically, I bought this truck about 6 months ago for $500 as my DD, and Ive been doing some things here and there to make it my own. Ive had my fair share of mishaps also, and Ive learned alot about this truck along the way. Ive never had a v8 before this, everything was either I6 or v6. This is what Ive done so far, and i'll have more as I keep going.

Enjoy

The day I got it

Installed some longtubes

Ripped the interior out to clean it

Carpet after extensive pressure washing and degreasing

Carpet reinstalled

Everything put back together

Rims were painted to match the body when I got the truck...

...So I painted em black

Old radiator had Bar's Stop Leak run through it, so it was a clogged up POS, causing me to overheat

New radiator along with new fan shroud (I cut up the old shroud when fixing the water pump )

Couldnt stand the blue door, so I spray painted it (I now wish I hadnt!)

Old tailgate color

Painted it (turned out much better than the door....)

New (used) tires, couldnt beat them for $200 mounted and balanced

Old fuel rail got cut on the front crossover when I was trying to repair the neck on the coolant temp sensor, luckily I have a complete top end off of a 94 5.8 F150, so I used the (vastly improved) fuel rail and newer injectors (note the new fuel rail doesnt have the front crossover, instead has a return line on the passenger side)

Upper manifold removed to access the fuel rail and injectors

Back together (I know most think the intake is hideous, but it works)

Sits pretty nice for a 2wd huh?

After a little washup, if id just straighten out those bumper mounts and paint that door, itd be a damn good lookin truck!

Thanks bud!

Yeh, it was a pretty great deal, the body is almost perfectly straight! Not to mention, it only has 76,000 miles on it, and im only the 3rd owner!

The only things really wrong with the truck when I got it was that the tires were shot completely, it needed an alignment, and the door was miscolored.

After driving it for 2 days, the water pump went bad, and when I removed the water pump I found 3 bolts broke off in the block, so that was a setback.

That was $$$ to get repaired, but all in all, ive got a damn good, solid truck

I ran out of paint, and then I didnt like the result that much, so I didnt go get more. Im going to sand it all down one of these days and then take it somewhere to get the door painted. The previous owner has a gallon of paint that matches the rest of the truck, so I might try getting that from them

Im almost positive they are Flowtechs, my brother bought them for his 94 f150 at AutoZone, and then I stole them before he had a chance to install them since his truck has been off the road for over a year.

They were only $150, and honestly I cant complain. If I would have bought the headers, I would have bought Hookers, but looking now, it probably would have been a waste. Theyve held up well. If they rust, ill let you know! haha
