I'm looking for Julie truck
#61
In spite of all the understandable "shock and awe" I too thought Julie helped a lot of people, especially new peeps that came her with questions. Their were many one stop shoppers with questions and maybe not so into building trucks as some of us. She gave a lot of super detailed answers, and I would guess they were appreciated. Of course as members of a forum in general-I suppose--we all kinda like to know who we're dealing with--At least to some reasonable point. So I understand its all a little complicated.

His/Her first response was always two things:
1.) Buy a manual and read it.
2.) Get 25 posts and search the forum.
Unless he/she liked you, then he/she would answer questions in great detail.
Lord help those who disagreed with him/her as I did on a couple things. Then the wrath of Dan/Julie was inescapable.

In defense of Dan I think he was super helpful to a lot of people with electrical problems. He had opinions & shared them (a lot) but that's ok as a new F1 owner I learned a lot & I think he has been sorely missed by the newbies with electrical gremlins. I hope he get's a chance to come back & leave the drama & just help out.

A huge amount of that information (he/she) had is probably still available on here, I'm willing to bet that most of it was saved in some fashion or another by some of the members. A lot of that wiring/electrical information is readily available in some form or another in manuals and such if it is asked for. Have to be careful though (he/she's) stuff wasn't always 100% absolutely accurate. It was pretty though.

Very true. Many of his drawings were (in certain cases admittedly) over simplified to answer specific questions, or drawn "as built" the way he put his truck together, whether it was right or not. One could get confused easily if one stumbled upon the wrong drawing for a particular question, without knowing what they were looking at.
