ok what we have here appears to be a SRW 4x4 CC pickup converted to DRW.
(unless they're just mistakenly calling it a 4x4? kinda hard to see in the pics.can anyone see a front pumpkin or locking hubs for sure?)
OR perhaps it is a cc f350 4x4 cab and chassis truck(did they even make these though? i don't recall ever seeing one) with a stock bed installed? sure lines up good though.hmm.some where, some how, either way,it's a cab and chassis converted to pickup,or srw pickup converted to DRW lol.so no matter what, questions and inspection of this combo is important.a front and both rear tires removed to inspect things is advised.
it could also be a stock CC dually that has been converted into a 4wd-though a much harder and more expensive way to reach the same objective,it's possible.and a VERY close inspection of the conversion is required.-id personally need to bring a mechanic with me for that.depending on what you find here, could make the truck a total safety basket case and good for parts only,or a solid reliable 4wd truck.-expect the first, and hope for the latter.
the 4x4 crew cab is the pricey combo.this is what really holds the retail up on these old trucks.
now as a full DRW convert, you can add (not really in retail, but if that's what you'd do to it anyway) another solid 1k on top,as this is what the conversion will run you all easy, using a combo of new and used parts from the salvage yards.
its listed as a turbo as well, and those are not exactly free either.
a minor or major draw back (depending on how much you drive, and at what average speeds you travel) is the likely hood of it having a replaced (though, fresh rebuilt at least) C6 trans.
with today's fuel prices, and lack of a locking TC and OD,id plan on an E40D swap.especially if the truck has 4.10 rear gearing.
over all this looks like a nice one.though it has it's share of problems.-sounds like 1k or so is required to repair the issues.fuel tank/a-c/batteries,likely cables etc.
a red flag is raised however when i read this:
"Why are we selling this truck? We need a truck with a dump body."
this tells you something important.
though the truck is all setup and ready to haul heavy (perhaps lacking some extra springs still)
the owner has written this truck off as unworthy of a dump bed.........why? - is the question you'll need to find out.
this makes me VERY suspicious that the truck might have a poorly done front end 4wd conversion.
proceed with caution and a good mechanic.

I see the front hubs are flush with the outside of the dually rim, so yes theres an axle under the front.
Very good point XLT, why not put a dump bed on that sucker?
Either hes not liking the cruising speed of that truck (being a 3 speed and most likely 4.10 gears) or he wants something abit newer as a company truck?
Defenently looks worth (from the pics) but like I say, never judge a book by it's cover.
When/if you do go see this truck, be sure to go around it and check everything you can!
And I don't know if it's just me, but the front wheels look abit like this \-/
