Been a while since I checked in here. On early 87 F150 302, replaced 02 sensor got close to 10MPG. Last owner, 'Knows it all', said he 'did' the rear tank. After replacing the eGR, TPS, hi pressure pump, MAP (My yr doesn't HAVE a max air Flow) she was doing good for a while there, 10MPG+? Also found 4th pump leading off from Non usable Front tank. Afraid to even think about THAT... BYPASSED the above pictured Res. WITHOUT any problems. Will touch back when drop Front tank, rear, whichever decide to do come Spring.
Ever notice Previous Owner and Pissed Off have the SAME ACRONYM?

E5TA-9K044-AA = E6TZ-9K044-A (replaced E5TZ-9K044-A) .. Fuel Reservoir Assy-includes gasket and filter element.

But this is in-correct for a 1987/88, as it was only used 1985/86 w/a 302 engine.

Marked: E7TA-9K044-AA = FOTZ-9K044-A (replaced E7TZ-9K044-A) .. Fuel Reservoir Assy- Does not use a filter element.

Applications: 1987/88 F150/350, Bronco & Econoline // MSRP: $82.22 // FTE sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM price: $44.40.

(sigh) I get a kick oughtta some members of FTE, cuz they go everywhere searching for parts except to the most logical place, their local Ford Dealer.

I have an 87 Ford F-150 that has the same thing what is it

Red face

Listen guys...

Before furniture starts flying and knives are pulled, read the below URL-

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...el-filter.html

That part shown is a Fuel Reservoir and is used on both single and dualing tank installs. Early ones had a cartridge filter within the reservoir, later had only (not necessarily always true) an inline filter after the rail (hi-pressure) pump.

It's purpose(s) is to allow choosing between tanks and it's keeping a reserve fuel supply if the hi-pressure pump outdraws the transfer pump(s). It also allows excess return fuel from the rail to be returned to the tank(s).

It has valving in it to accomplish all of this and sometimes fouls due to poor fuel quality.

No reason to start up the old don't know what you are talking about routine.

POST #17 reads Today (11 JUN 2017) 02:06 AM

Where I was going was trying to stop another long and heated thread over a simple fuel reservoir that was debated just a few days ago..

You OK? Just roll out?
