Question Back up camera mounting

How have you guys mounted your reverse cameras? I have a Clarion NX501 which should be showing up at my door on Monday and I plan on adding a backup camera to the truck. What units have you guys used and where/how did you mount them? If you have one without IR LEDs on it, how is the picture at night? Thanks.

I have a unit by Peak. It comes with a tag mount (camera) and a windshield suction cup mount (monitor). I mounted mine on the windshield upper left corner so it is out of the way and can be hidden with the sun visor while parked. It works pretty well except while raining. Little drops of water on the lens get magnified to one large blur. Added backup lights help for night time.

I found the license plate ones the easiest. They give you a view of everything you'll need. If you have an 08 and up tailgate, you can mount one in the stock location(tailgate handle)

I ordered a plate mount camera from eBay. I am hesitant to spend too much on one in case somebody decides they need it more than I do.

Use some type of security screws to hold it down.
