Question 1997 f150 check engine light on

Have a 1997 f150 with the 4.6l automatic transmission with about 86000 on the engine. The check engine light came on, so I had a computer check done. The check came up with EGR. I had the EGR replaced and the check engine light shut off. A day later it came on again. Had the computer checked again and the same thing came up, the EGR. Any help would be great. THanks
