door lock cylinder
#2
Wow! Third post in about a week asking how to remove the lock cylinder.
Pull away the weatherstripping. You'll see a hole behind the weatherstripping in the area where the lock cylinder is. Use and flashlight and look inside the hole. There's a set screw inside holding the lock cyclinder shaft in place. It's usually an allen head. It's a very small screw. Pray that it's not frozen from the rust. The head is easily stripped. I suggest lubricating the screw and let it penetrate before removing it.

I was just looking over the passenger side door today in my 52 Panel and saw that the PO actually cut the door edge on the inside by the latch mechanism with a grinder to get to the set screw. I haven't checked the driver's door. I've had the truck for about six years now and still keep finding things that the PO butchered or did wrong.
