I NEED TO KNOW WERE THE CASS NUMBERS ARE ON THE BLOCK,AND HOW MANY # ARE THERE. I SEE NUMBERS ON THE SIDE OF BLOCK,PASSANGER SIDE OF BLOCK, 65TE-6015-HB OR MB. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT YEAR THE MOTOR IS. CAN ANY ONE HELP ME.
THANKS IN ADVANCE,

"65TE..." could be "C5TE...", or "D5..." or "E5...". Double check.
C5 would be 1965, D5 = '75, E5 = '85.
There should be a date code somewhere on the block as well.
This info is found at the top of the sbf forums, but the casting and date codes are formatted the same for all engine series:

If it is a '65, my concern would be the bore. Given the nature of the beast, it may be on the original bore and clean up with an .030 overbore.
