1960 Ford F100

Hello
I just started the engine on a 1960 f100 6cyl. Aftetr it warmed up some there was a hissing noise coming from the back of the engine. Water leaked to the ground. the water did not seem warm to the touch. No white smoke from the exhaust. Any ideas what it can be besides a bad head gasket??

is it coming out of the draft tube? the old engines didn't have a PVC system like the new engines, they just had a draft tube that dropped down the side of the engine and spewed everything all over the ground at the back of the engine.

that is probably where it is coming from.

The hissing noise sounds like a vacuum leak, not related to the water. There are small hoses that go into the cab back there.

Could it be the heater hoses leaking before they enter the cab?
