Stories like this really tick me of to the limit! If I were him, I'd get myself all over the local news, T.V, newspapers, radio, the whole business. Local T.V can do wonders when it tackles a story where the hard-working citizens get the short end of the stick by local government. Who among us haven't been in the same situation once in our lives...not enough money at a certain time to repair a car, etc. This is just wrong.

Just to see who's paying attention, what year would you say that truck is/was?

I just sent a letter to the San Juan Capistrano Mayor, Sam Allevato. Here's his email.

allevato@sanjuancapistrano.org

Not like it'll likely do any good...all these politicians are scumbags. I say we all inundate
the guy with emails from all over the country and stick up for the trucks owner.

Its a split rig; 61 grille; 64-66 bed!
Just goes to show how our nations focus on the wrong things to remove!

It has a 61 CHROME grille...but a 64-6 2WD Styleside box...To think that some city has step onto private property and take a vehicle w/o the vehicles owner aware of it it ludacris...Go to TV, radio...whatever it takes...yes its an old truck...but the principle is some gov't agency taking something off of private property...to me its flat out being robbed/stolen...
Im glad I dont have that kind of bull to deal with in my state.

Appears to be a 63 or 64 hood as it has rear side nameplates vs the series spears used on 61 and 62 light duty trucks.

Ding-ding-ding correct on all accounts. Which makes this truck even more rare parts from 61, 63-64, possibly other years. can't quite make out short bed or long bed. by the looks of storage compartment on side of bed, I'm leaning towards short bed. With the front bumper hangin the way it is, it's hard to believe that it's a regular driver. The bumper appears to be 63 I don't see any bolts on top part for mounting, thus it would have the three bolt triangle pattern. Something is not right with the story.
If this guy was a member of FTE or any other site he would have everyone on his side. I'ts hard to know who to yell at when it's a one sided story. Nevertheless I don't think any City should have the right to tow and crush a vehicle because they say so or because someone complains. I'm sure there's more to the story.

Thats a shame the city acts like this and does not even follow their own regulations. I would think the owner being notified would also require a signature stating he recieved the notice.

Not being able to pay the fees and get the truck back is a new one on me. That takes it from a reasonable parking violation to flat out theft. But they steal our rights and freedoms why shouldn't they steal our property? I guess it was coming. I'll send another e-mail for the guy, but if I was him i'd get a hold of a local news station, they will often fight for the citizens better than anyone, it's messed up that that's the case but it is.

Guys if you look close, I wouldn't be surprised to find out this cab and bed are on a later model frame of some sort. Looking at the picture closely, it appears to be 4WD. Maybe that's why the bumper doesn't fit right. Don't expect the media to do anything. The media in this country is corrupt and is run by liberals for the most part. I will e-mail the mayor as well. It would take them at least 30 years to remove vehicles like this in Spokane. Just about every house has 1 or 2 or (12 like mine).
