cab floor repair, 56..

morning status.. floor is marked for cut..
I need to wait for a reinforcement piece to arrive next week.
I am doing all the way across the cab, with the two arms that attach to the door rocker panels. I will be using panel adhesive to secure the parts.
because the two arms are present, I don't want to try to put this in and out too many times.. still have to figure out how much I have to cut on the opposite corners to get them down below the floor surface before turning into position.
the inside line in the picture below is the cut point, and I will have almost 2 inches of overlap.

Looking REALLY good! You're movin right along! I've had my reservations on metal panel adhesive. Does that stuff really work as well as some say? Never could bring myself to trust it, as it's only a chemical bond and I fear that it will breakdown over time. Always welded stuff in.
How are you gonna work the new access for your master cylinder?

arent clecos the best thing, i have used them for many years. I am also interested in the panel adhesive and is it as good as it seems?
What sort of applications is it normally used for, and what are its drawbacks and limitations? Sorry if thats to many questions Sam, but yours is the first real project i have seen where its being used to fit something other than a small, non structural item.
cheers from downunder John

On the panel adhesive, we'll have to get charlie to tell us about it. Says not for structural joints, but in my case the floor is self supporting, and the rivets and few spot welds will insure completeness.
This is 3M 8115 panel adhesive.
