frame work

Ok i got a 89 f150 ex-cab short bed. i was thinking about putting a long bed on it. To do so i have to lengthen the frame a little before the rear tires. How hard would it be to do this? It also has to be as strong or stronger than stock. What else is there to do? thanks.

It can be done. If you are doing that then Z-cut the frame, weld together and then fish plate the joint. If done right it will be stronger than original..

other option is go to a JY and pull a long bed frame. clean it up and then just transfer everything over to "new" frame.
