This is from the states website.

Quote:
No person shall use a muffler cut-out or by-pass. No person shall operate a motor vehicle on any way which motor vehicle is equipped (1) with a muffler from which the baffle plates, screens or other original internal parts have been removed and not replaced; or (2) with an exhaust system which has been modified in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the exhaust.
I would make sure you buy it with the muffler.. No sense going through it and giving them something to hassle you for..

i bought the truck in january....still haven't even thought about getting inspected....no hassles yet.

Im at work by 7am, and i go home down 128 south at 4:00....cops dont even think about causing a jam, even if they did see me. I have 10% tints as well....power windows hide them well though...

I wouldnt worry too much about the muffler delete, i have 4" straight pipes and dont think it'll be an issue...eventually i'll probably just fork over the $35 to my gf's uncle for the sticker...

you can always just tell the station that "you're going to take the muffler out right when you get home"
