Try this: Axle Breather Vent

Eaton, how long of a rubber hose did you use there? It doesn't look like much at all. I'd be worried that as the axle flexes it will rip out or bend either the vent or the tubing.
I would go with just rubber hose next time.

I got 2 feet of hose and it was enough to put through one of stock the holes in the frame with a few inches to spare. I'll probably just clamp some window screen mesh on the other end and call it done. Thanks for that link, I'll probably include one of those in my next order from JBG.

Thanks for the heads up on the vent. Never would have even looked at it twice if you hadn't pointed it out. Cleaned mine out, cut off cracked hose section and re-attached. Easy!

Breather Vent Bolt

ericconn, I replaced my vent bolt and hose two days ago, and got two new vent bolts from Ford; PN: F5UZ-4022-A, they come as a package of 2 for $20 (CDN). NOTE: they look different from the original one you have, these have shorter "snouts" with two barbs as opposed to the longer, single barb one you have from the factory. The parts guy at Ford gave me these ones, and it fits and work fine so far.

PS. I know this is an old thread and you most likely have found these by now, but if not here ya go
