Lift Kits

I have a friend who has a 02 F250 with a 6 inch lift kit, he wants to get rid of it and I want to buy it.. will it work on my 2004? they both are 4x4, leaf spings front and rear.. will it fit my 04? Tires are 38x14

Here is a pic of his truck

I assume you're talking about the fitment of the lift kit. His 02 kit should fit your 04. Anything 99-04 is pretty much the same.

SWEET... So I am going to do all the swapping by myself, has anyone done a suspension swap before? Is it possible to do it all in 8 hrs? Will 38's effect the ride/engine load too much?

I've never done a swap, but I would make it a weekend project. Give yourself plenty of time. Looks like both trucks are 250's, another bonus. The "engine load" all depends on what you got under the hood... A diesel will probably do fine with the 38s, but a 6.8 or 5.4 will definitely feel sluggish. A 14 inch tire is pretty wide so the truck will more than likely float around a bit, but that's just the nature of the beast.

I would replace the u-bolts and nuts on BOTH lift kits for safety.

Agreed. U-bolts do stretch.
