Hello everyone....I am new here...(i have been lurking around)and this is my first post. I am really interested in how much all these engine/tuning mods cost?
I just purchased a 2011 supercrew 4x4 xlt with the 5.0.... sad thing is is I had to sell my old showtruck...1978 Ford f150 4x4 ranger shortbed stepside for the new truck. But with a 3 year old daughter...and possibly twins on the way, I had to get something to haul the carseats & cargo.

Hey guys,I'm new to this site and just wanted to chime in.I'm running a 5star tune, headers, cai and the boss intake.my truck is a sbrc f150 2wd.I drag race this truck every week and IMO the boss intake is a wash in performance et.you give up a little bit in the 60" and make up for it on the top end.so for me I love it because it looks killer and for the money it's worth it.on the street it's better and at the track it's about even.so when you open the hood not many people are going to expect to see a boss motor.lol

A higher stall converter will more than make up for that slight loss in 60'. 3500 rpm minimum, and don't listen to the dinosaurs that tell you that's too much.

Boss5.0, what does your truck run? Do you have the stainless works or ARH headers? Why do you say the boss works better on the street, bit it loosed some 60' at the track?

He does not have man headers yet . I have been trying to tell him to get some to improve his 60' , i think the converter is on his plate next ..I talked with pro torque about one for him at PRI.

If he wants a good proven converter, he needs to call Circle D in Houston. Chris is by far the best in the business, and has proven it time and again in many applications..

The reason I think it's better on the street is that from a roll the rpm is up higher and the intake pulls hard from higher rpm's.when I get my stall then it will pull hard from the dig.as far as times so far,13.09@105 on the motor and 11.83@112.90 on a 150 shot,12.0@110.56 on a 75 shot.

Man, that is getting it for a truck! Care to fill us in on all the mods, fuel, weight etc. What did you run stock, if you ever did? And, what would you say was the most significant mod, or combo of mods? Thanks for being the mod pioneer!

Impressive truck! By chance do you have a time on your truck while it was completely stock?

Guys I had a chance to drive the Boss 302 to the Shelby American 50th Anniversary Bash in Vegas last week. We spent a couple of days out at Spring Mountain. Late in this vid I'm playing around with a couple of supercharged 5.0 2011 GT350's! Good times my friends, good times...

so the bottom line is that the boss intake added low end kept midrange at stock and improved high end as well? and this all works great on an 87 octane tune? im just finding things to keep in mind when i eventually go truck shopping in the future
