help

got an 86 bronco. crank up it idle 2000rpm 20 sec then goes to idle at 900. runs fine till you shut off an go to crank back. it wont unless you disconnect inertia switch ,crank engine to it runs up spent fuel then you can recrank, good to go till you cut off then you have to repeat process. have bypassed and replaced switch. same problem. any advice

Sounds like a flooded engine. If you hold the throttle on the floor it will turn off the injectors and you then will not have to disconnect inertia switch.

Also sounds like you might have a bad Fuel Pressure Regulator. Pull the vacuum hose off the nipple on top and if any fuel comes out of the nipple when you crank the cold engine it is bad. Do not do this with a warm engine or you may have a fire.
