88 F250 exhaust

I have an 88 f250 351 Windsor, currently have cat to a glass pak single pipe, sounds really bad and hanging down just looks like crap. I want it to sound good but don't have a ton of money to spend. Any recommendations?

I feel your pain.
On my 83 302, several years ago, I put a Walker Hemi Turbo muffler 2.5" SISO and had it exit before the rear passenger wheel. It sounded great. I have used the same muffler on a single exhaust on a couple of GM and Ford V8s and they all sounded good and the muffler was cheap. On my 350 sbc Suburban I did use the 3" model and had it exit all the way back.
Fortunately the Windsor sounds good with almost any low flow muffler. Check youtube for sound clips.

Cut out the cat and use a cherry bomb extreme muffler with a DISO (2.5I to 3" out) with a 3" tailpipe
