I know Recon sells the smoked lenses (which I've ordered), but has anyone used a generic 194 (wedge) amber LED bulb to replace the stock incandescent bulbs? Recon wants $10 a pop for "their" LED replacements which is crazy.

I did not go with the $10 bulbs either. I just used orange "wedge" bulbs to replace the factory clear ones. No problems with visability or brightness, I am happy with the results.

 

The amber lights came with the smoked lenses when I ordered them. They look fine to me.

Are the 1999-2010 clearance light lenses the same as the 2011?

 

I bought them from recon and yes they are the same. I believe this is the part I ordered #264142BK.

 

They sell the lenses and bulbs separately now. $10 each for the bulbs! They probably cost Recon $2 or less per bulb. I'll go with the aftermarket LEDs

 

The Recon's come with amber incandescent bulbs. The LED bulbs are $10 each extra. I opted for the Recon LED's and I am happy with them. If you are going that route now, I would recommend the Atomic LED cab lights instead.

 

I only need the lenses and new bulbs...don't want all the flash and stuff Atomic's do.
