Country and Rock music suggestions
I'm gettin bored of my current music library and can't find any "new" music to add. I need some suggestions. I'm a major country fan and I'll listen to pretty much all country but the pop-like crap like rascal flatts and sugarland. I kinda like rock too, more of the classic rock though. Let the suggestions begin...

Right now I'm on a Led Zeppelin kick. That seems to be all I'm listening to lately and pretty much every song they have ever done is awesome. IMO.

I can 'deal' with Rascal Flatts, and I really enjoy Sugarland.
Well, not necessarily listening to Sugarland. . . . Jennifer Nettles is VERY easy on the eyes.
Hey!! I'm an old fart. . . . cut me some slack.

I HATE and distaste this new "Pop" country.....Seems anyone with a cute face, a tiny butt an some hooters can play country.....
Look back 50 years ago.....Country was based on TALENT, and VOCALS.....Because there wasn't MTV crap to sell the sex....JMO
And rock an roll has went to hell in a hand basket with first class seats and peanuts.....Seems everyone wants the LOOK, but don't have the grit in their tiny little feminine crawls to actually DO the whole Sex, Drugs an R&R.........Take 3 bottles of barbituates, and drink a 1/5 of vodka an call me in the morning....After you get your stomache pumped of course....

on top of some great suggestions others have made, here are some that i have been listening to alot lately. alot of it pushes the limits of country, but more in the rock direction than the pop direction.
one of my favorite new artist is Brantley Gilbert, has two albums that are worth thier weight in gold. sings country that ranges from serenading to country-rock. jason aldeans "my kind of party" was originally brantley gilberts (he writes his own, a plus in my book), but he just couldn't do it the same (small change in the lyrics too)
eric church is more known, but again, writes his own and its real country
jeff bates has a few songs where he sounds just like conway twitty, even covered one of conways songs.
Matt Kennon is another that writes his own. has only had one song released to radio (the call, a real tear jerker) he has that whiskey burned kinda gravelly voice that can tear clear down to your soul. personal favorites: "ride with me" and "the man I used to be".
and for a more traditional country artist check out Bobby Pinson. I really like his song "ford fairlane"
