I have a 06 f150 5.4 flex fuel with cold air and superchip. when I gun the throttle when truck is semi-cold it spudders. when truck has been driven for an hour or so it does just fine. I noticed this problem around the same time that I put on the K&N cold air and it seems to not matter what tune or fuel octane I use. I have thought that it may have something to due with the throttle body spacer or an air fuel mixture problem with the aftermarket intake, but I am unsure. It still does it when on the stock tune so I am certain that it is not the chip. If anyone has had this problem or may know that the problem is please respond.

 

I think I remember reading that the 05 and 06 have to have a custom tune to run right with an aftermarket CIA.
I bet if you take off the K&N and get rid of that stupid TBS it will run right.
The throttle body spacer is a scam mod anyway! Best used as a paper weight. lol

 

I would put it back to stock and see how it runs, then install each aftermarket item separatly, running the truck again to evaluate.

 

Clean the MAF and you may need new coil boots.
