So my buddies dad told me that in the first 6 months they made the 99 350 powerstroke they didnt use the garret turbo. Supposebly they made some other turbo that is supposed to kick ***. I just wanted to know if this was true?

its a GTP38 with the OBS wheel on it.

Fun fact is that they put Cat motors in our trucks at one point. I think there were about 600 of them.

I cannot remember which motor they ran out of or what year, it was 87-96 style, but before the PSD.
