The water is starting to back up in some places around here. They saying Monroe,La. will have around 4ft of water. I hope not because that's where I work. Here where I live, I'll be fine because my elevation is higher.

As long as these old levee's hold i should be fine. The spillway was opened one time in 73 and it didn't flood the area i live in and i hope it won't this time
The ironic part of this whole thing is that we are actually in a drought situation here locally and really need rain !!!
Johnny we do need rain really bad but i don't think the river can handle anymore water. with the spillway open the river in Baton Rouge will be around 45' to 47' the levee protects to 51'
