302 roller blocks

Will a bare 1988 car roller block work in a 1995 truck?

Thank you for the info I have read many of your posts. And have learned some about Fords. Not many ford preformance guy around here. I will be changing heads and cam as well. Any info on 302 maf cams. These are some of the cams 35-410-8 comp, 44211 crane, 51023 lunati. This will be my first efi perfomance build.

What truck is this going into.. like what cab and chassis combo? The overall weight of the vehicle and the axle gearing/tire combo plays a big role in what cam is suitable.

1995 Ford f150 302 long tube headers running 32x9.50x15 super swampers going to switch gears to 3.73s. The truck has 3.30 gears right now and I run it in the mud drags. So I'm in low lock when racing. Im only getting beat by about 2-5 feet by 460s. I'm getting off the line ok they just get me at the end of the 220 foot lane. Just need a little more on top end.

Thanks

Does you '88 roller block have a cam in it meaning do you have a complete shotblock with all the internal parts or is it bare? If it's complete do you know if it's a HO or a plane jane 5.0? If it's a HO then you have a cam that will give you quite a bit more topend power, if it's not a HO or the block is bare then I suggest the Comp cams 35-320-8 with 1.6 rockers and matching valve springs. What heads are you gonna use?

The engine is a long block. I'm using the short block with e7 ported heads.
