My dad owns this car:

1969 Ford Shelby GT 500. It has a 427 stuffed into it. A 5 spd manual transmission. I am 20 years old and have been around classic cars and stuff....im still not allowed to come near it whenever its around lol.

No I dont have leadfootidis, I have clutzfoot XD! No I aint got any pictures. Its getting sold (I die a bit each time i think bout it) My dad has no reason to keep it anymore and there is a collector in montana that has been bugging my dad for it for a couple years, finally settled on a price of 39,000.

 

Damn, sounds like a sweet car! I wonder who the collector is? I know quite a few of the MT stang guys through the Treasure State Mustang Club.

 

He lives in texas, but has a house here in montana(rolls eyes) I was pissed to hear it too. It was a dark Blue with white racing stripes, my dad built that thing from a roller when he was 31. It was sold at the Ford Dealership, my dad worked on that car when the guy who bought it brought it in(he was a ford mechanic for a time), its a GT 500, got the shelby sticker and VIN and everything. Made it a HOT item. THe guy rolled the thing, and died in the process, his son sold it to my dad.

 

Jeez, thats a tragedy. Sounds like a really nice car. Someone is getting one helluva deal.
