Should I rebuild my 5.0?

So this whole thing started as a head gasket job. The truck had not performed that great before (horrible acceleration, horrible gas mileage). So I already have most of the top of the engine off. I cleaned all the sludge out of the upper intake and will be cleaning all the parts coming out and bought a new EGR and pipes. I'm wondering if I should go further and go all in with a full rebuild. My concern is the cost and I don't have an engine lift/stand or someone who can show me. I have a Haynes book but I'm nervous about breaking something, especially the fuel rail/ injectors. I have never rebuilt an engine before nor even gone as far as a head gasket before. Should I go for it?

How has the engine been maintained? How much ridge? Any unusual noises? Use oil?

How many miles are on the motor? If in the 150k to 200k I would rebuild if you have it that far.

Need alot more information before deciding if it's a good move to rebuild. I'ts not hard to do a complete rebuild if you can take your time and have a few specialized tools, which you can rent if needed. Might be easier to get a reman engine to drop in.
