I love reading these threads about how all of you think fuel is badly expensive in the U.S
Here in Canada, in my area, it's 1.26$ a Litre, witch comes to 4.66$ a US gallon.....
Gas is 1.32$ a Litre, witch comes to 4.88$ a US gallon.... yeah it's bad here!
The really sad part is that a chunk of the fuel they buy south of the border is produced here....
I bought $400 of diesel a week ago Friday, and emptied that tank this afternoon. I'm now getting a 3-4cent/litre break, the local station I use put a cardlock in a while back, and now has their own card to loan us small guys to fill up with. We use their card, give it back, and just pay like we normally would. I'll swing by again the middle of the week and refill my tank....it takes 380 litres or so to fill it.
its 3.99 at Fuelmart Speedway and the TA at the 110 in W.C. ohio, some places its 4.19. gasoline is 4.05 to 4.15 everywhere here. first time ive seen diesel cheaper that gas in along time.
that makes to much since. duh. don't you know diesel is the most widely used fuel and by charging us more for it they can afford the latest personal jet. god forbid they fly on last years model
Sorry guys, but here in Cancun MX it just went to 9.17 pesos/liter which comes out to $3.02 a gallon. Gasoline is still less that $3 a gallon. It is not that fuel costs have gone up much, it is that the dollar is sinking into the toilet.
Yep, lots of folks blame the Oil Companies, but it is more the government and sinking $, that is why food is way up also...
the price of diesel really went up when the government mandated the use of ULSD for on road fuel. it takes more work to refine ULSD than #2 and it also takes new equipment to do it. not every refinary has a diesel hydro treater, which is what makes #2 into ULSD.
i put off filling up, and look what that got me :/ haha
I do that all the time. And even now, i was too lazy to fill my ranger and now one station jumped to $4.29 for reg GAS! The rest will be following today, to probably close to $4.19-4.24

Now with ULSD you have to burn 15% more fuel to get where you are going. You have less power too.
How does burning more fuel give us less pollution?
So I have heard. I liked having diesel that gave me better mileage. Not less, stupid ulsd junk. Is there additives for fuel that can help in the place of less sulfur?
Da update from MN donchya noo
Filled up 10mi west of here for 4.14 went 10 more miles down the road and it was 4.24. I was so lucky i even pondered buying a lottery ticket, but i had enough gambling for one day.
