4 1/4". the minimum height is 3" because you have to put a shackle in the rear. any shorter of a shackle and it would be too short to pivot. check out Sky's Off-road Design - Home under ford and suspension.

Thanks for the link, now the question is i have a 3" body lift so i could fit my 3" dp in, as well as a soon to be put in 2.5" suspension lift, would you not recommend doing suspesion lift if i do rsk? And i was wondering if you had any pictures of how you made yours, i figure i can make one alot cheaper then spending 1k on one and have it just as nice. (EDIT) did you happen to RSK the rear as well?

i have a feeling jacked up trucks aren't good for pulling...

3'' shouldn't be to bad. Just get the setup right.
