How many miles till I can tow?

I have a new ecoboost with about 500 miles. It has the max tow package. I want to tow my 2000lb Lund to the lake this weekend. Can I do it? Or do I have to wait till I get more miles on it. What is everyone else doing? I will wait longer before towing the 7700# Camper. But what about the boat?

I don't think the 2000 lb trailer is going to hurt it. I think the rule of thumb is to wait till she 1000 miles on her before towing any significant weight.

Probably best to wait until after your first oil change before putting too much load on it. I assume they still use very thin oil for the first interval.
