well its official, the truck has been SAVED from getting sold, I traded the Nissan Altima (boring car) for a new to me 2004 Mustang 40th Annivsery edition!!! YAY!!!! I decided instead of buying a truck for 3k (would have more or less been a swap from my truck to the 2004 F150) and having a risk of it being a problem truck, I decided its better to keep the one I have now, plus with the snow Im enjoying the 4x4 allowing me to get into the driveway where the cars are stuck on the street LOL!!! and the newer truck would have been a 5 spd standard 2wheel drive and I just love my current problem free truck!!!!

so yea Im just waiting to go pick up the stang from the dealer (they are fixing it up and prepping it for me to take it home as I found a few issues with it that I wanted fixed for the price Im paying for it!!

I think that's a good choice about the truck. That newer truck would've been downgrading from what you have now. Post pics of the Mustang when you get it!

Safely in the driveway next to the good ol Ford F150

Its name is Buddy, after my faithful dog that truly lived up to its name! I guess now I just need to get a pic of the two Fords next to each other for my sig pic...

I'm glad your keeping your truck. The newer trucks just aren't the same.

I agree, the newer truck was also damaged (they wanted 3K for it) and they said it was damaged n the right side, but its was the left side that was damaged, plus the tailgate was missing the latch handle so I was concerned that it would have had more extencive body damage then what could be seen, and it was a manual trans XL package with CD player, same as my truck really, just mine is an auto trans...V8 and 4x4

so yes I am glad I kept the truck, I plan to get at least $700 more of enjoyment out of it before doing any thing else....but for now I need to drive the mustang and find out if theres any other issues aside from the ones already pointed out and if so let the dealer know to fix those too!

It's a V6 3.8L under the hood! I love the standard trans!! It's a blast to drive and I hope to get many miles out of it!

Well it's time to track down an exhaust leak, got the gasket set (Felpro) as some here mentioned that is a good brand so I went with it, taking it to a local shop to have them put it on a lift to see if the leak is at the manifold or else where before tearing into the system to fix

Ok determined that I really don't need the gasket set, the O2 pipe with the sensor bung was the broken piece

Pretty common issue, at least with me. Both of my trucks have done that, and I've fixed a few for friends.

Easy fix though.
