Im slowly prepairing my truck for winter, also going to be looking into new tires (the rubbers) however im wondering would it be a good idea to upgrade to a different axle/wheels (the HD types with 8 lugs or what ever) now or should I just get the rubbers that I need? will be needing to replace all 4 though...also slowly trying to strip off the current paint and any rust off the frame and repaint the frame with fresh paint, but thinking I may have a professional body shop do this bit...thoughts and oppions and ideas?? thanks!!!

No I don't. Are you wanting something for show, or function, or both? I know mounting them on top would make them more functional, but if you kept them below the top of the rack, I believe you would have less wind noise while traveling at highway speeds. Do you get much wind noise from the headache rack while on the highway?

Couple things to add.
If you run it at 150psi and have a regulator on the out line to 100psi then the higher tank pressure will hold the 100 psi longer at the discharge until the pressure get to the point the compressor needs to run again if that makes sense.
Most air tool are rated to run 90-100psi. Running higher pressure will cause them to wear out faster. And the air horns are designed to run at a certain pressure as well running too much will change the sound.
