Just some information on fuel mileage for 2011 F350 6.7. Truck is now 7 weeks old and has seen an improvement from 21.4 miles per gal. to 25.1 miles per gal.these numbers are metric converted to imp. gal. I think some of the improvement is regular fuel. rather than winter fuel, but happy just the same a lot better than 08 6.4

 

Only have 600 miles, most city and I am at about 15.9. Have to get some miles and take a long highway trip to see what I will get highway. 15.9 does not seem to bad with so many city miles..

I seem to average around 19 or so for my mostly rural driving. 9,800 miles on it, hoping that it gets better over the next year or so. My 6.4L truck was good for aroun 15.5 for the same driving conditions.

 

Crazy I believe he sais imp. gallons about the same as you and I

 

I average 17.4 in city driving and 18.1 on the interstate, running about 70 mph.

 

17.4 city is impressive.
I used to get mid-15's (last summer) city but I'm stuck in the mid-14's this year for city.
Interstate is 19+ mpg empty so no issue there.

 

I'm only getting 13.5 in town. Took an 2hrs trip down the interstate and got 18.3 running just under 80. i'm happy with the interstate mpg but wish the city was up as that is where most of my driving is done.

 

F250, 4X4, 8 ft bed,super cap,3.55rear& 20" tires - about 1,600 miles and two weeks. Mostly rural and back road driving in southern nj plus two trips (4 - 5 hr each way) to upsate pa. (one with about 2,000 lb of trailer) Avg mpg on odometer screen since day 1 is 16.6. I've seen about 19.5 - 20 once in a while (NJ). Sometimes it seems sensitive to either fuel brand or tank level (huh)?

Not really seeing the steady high mpg (in 20's) alot of people are talking about, although seeing about 3 mpg better than the dodge gas (small v8) it replaced.

Any tricks/tuning to get there or is it just a matter of break in? Also, what kind of turbo boost pressure are most seeing. I'm only seeing about 1 - 10 on most trips.

F250 4-Door 4x4 short bed 3.31 18" tires Avg is 17 overall Seeing about 15 city and 20 HWY saw 24MPG on a short trip (45 miles) driving like papaw but that is the only time I've driving that slow.

 

My 2011 6.7 F350 has 20000 miles. Getting around 16 mpg on highway doing 75mph. It also is a crewcab long box with 6" lift and 37" wheels. First truck (and Ford) I've had with a lift kit. How many mpg does a lift usually rob?

 

16.5 city, 23 freeway. 12.5 towing a 30' toy hauler.

 

From what I can tell you will loose a significant amount of efficiency with a lift, so your numbers sound pretty good to me!

 

The lift isn't what cost you mileage it's the bigger tires = more resistance.

 

Actually a lift does rob some fuel mileage as there is more wind resistance underneath the truck. The front axle and everything else is more exposed.

 

The one thing that improved my mileage the most is finding out my speedo reads slow. So at 70 mph I was actually doing 76 mph. Checked it with an accurate handheld gps. The truck defiantly gets better mileage when you drive slower. I am assuming my odometer will be reading less miles also,which means I'm putting on more mpg than what it is showing. Also I should get more miles on warranty.
