94 Ford IDI Turbo Questions

A friend of ours is selling his 1994 7.3L Turbo. Hopefully for a decent price.

What do you guys think, how do they compare to the powerstrokes? What kind of performance boosters are out there?

The truck has 200,000miles but 100,000 of those we highway miles

What should I offer him for it?

Go down a few lines from here and post on the Pre-power stroke IDI diesel page, the guys there will have plenty of info for you.
The big advantage of the IDI diesel is it is all mechanical injection, no electronics. You can buy a complete set of injectors for it for the price of one Power Stroke injector. However with the Power Stroke you can chip it to get horsepower and torque way up.
