1966 f250 frame swap
#2
The 2WD cab, and front sheet metal should bolt in place with no issues. The bed will need adjustment to accommodate the longer wheelbase. Clutch shifters and all will be in the same basic stock location.
The 4x4 Highboy steering column has a longer shaft and you can easily modify the 76 column to fit the 66 cab.

I also have a question about chassis swaps! I just bought a 66 f250 2wd long bed. I currently have a 73 f100 2wd... my question is could I essentially do a cab/bed swap?
I bought the 73 to use parts to do the disc brake upgrade/power steering, etc on the 66 but as I was getting to it, i also need to swap the rear end for highway use (66 has 300 six cylinder with 4 speed granny so highway speed is like its about to explode!) along with other things id take from this 73, it seems the easier swap would just be the cab and bed instead, and just leave everything as is. does the firewall clear ok? I also need to do cab mount rust work and floor pans on the 66 so i could adjust as i go. I just hoped to see if anyone had an idea as to how difficult this will be. Thanks!

branigan89 Welcome to and the Slicks Forum.
The cab & front clip can be separated from the chassis, lifted as one piece and placed on the newer chassis. The 73 most likely has power steering and the steering column from that truck will have to be used because of the 2 1/3" connect point difference.
You will have to deal with the wheel base and chassis length differences but that can be worked out.
Got more questions fire away, we'll try to help.

1961 F250 Unibody, chassis swap
Just wondering if you have any advice as to up to which year I can drop my 1961 onto without major modifications? Shorting the rear end should be simple but am wondering about width and other problems?
Thanks
Sheldon

I dropped my 65 shorty on a 79 4x4 shorty chassis. Only issue was the bed ended up an inch higher than the cab, so I used 6 hockey pucks to jack the cab.
the steering was a bit different, I had to use a 5/16 grade 8 bolt to couple the 2 together.
I don't think I had any other issues. It was a weekend swap.
