Need spark plug help fast

well my truck runs like crap!! i scanned it and it was the #5 cyl misfire. coil tested good, i pulled the plug and the gap was .085!!!! i regapped it and it runs better but still misses like crazy...i NEED to drive it, and im not gonna be able to do all the plugs until this weekend due to school and work.

will it hurt to just replace the 1 plug for now and do the rest in 5 days?
or should i not even attempt the other 7? this one came out ok, but ive heard horror stories of the threads coming out with the plugs.

thanks

nope replace the one and go from there!! Wont hurt anything!!!! I would read up on taking the rest of the plugs out but one will get you by until you have the time to do it right

You should be ok for now. Just replace the rest as soon as possible. It'll prob run a lot better. You don't know the condition of the rest. If #5 was bad then theres a chance the others might be also.

And make sure that the plug BOOT is not torn too! If it is, it'll send the spark out of the boot to ground....you'll get a bad firing plug.

Also get your codes read.... for free at Auto Zone. You don't need to have a CEL to get codes.

And make sure that you get the COP all the way back on after changing the plug.

alrighty....i got the one in, fixed problem. i did the entire driver side bank tonight after work and and had my injectors cleaned at work and W.O.W.!! tons more power(i can actually accelerate uphill in 5th gear now!!), hoping mpgs go up too. wasnt too bad. i pulled the boots and cleaned them, pull;ed out the spring thingy and cleaned it, then put on some dielectric grease. dont think ill be replacing them though, since they are in pretty good shape
