Is your truck still going to have a clear title?

That's one of the biggest questions I would have. Showing a theft recovery and rebuild on one of the services like Carfax-even if the title is "clear", would be disastrous in the case one might decide to sell.

Not sure why the title would be in question - currently it's with the credit union that I financed it through. What part of it being stolen and recovered could affect that? As long as the VIN is the same, shouldn't be problem, but I don't know. Enlighten me, please.

I know it's not going to be a pretty carfax or OASIS report in the future, but I intend to be completely up-front about her "adventures" if I do indeed try to trade her in on something new.

I don't see a title issue here either.

I don't see an oasis problem either. This is not a warranty concern.

It is a claim against the insurance so it will show up in carfax.

keep reciepts and be upfront and most will give a heck of an inspection but I think you will overcome it with alot of information.

Trading won't matter-Dealers only care about one thing-NADA wholesale value.
Private party sales though, that's another thing. I myself refuse to touch anything that's been involved in a theft recovery, salvage, or rebuild or any kind. If there's anything on the reports that show this-I simply walk away. Some people don't care, but....that's a problem to many people.

Absolutely correct. Dealers don't care, but many private buyers won't touch anything that is a theft recovery because of the things that might happen down the road, like transmission or engine failure (thousands of $$$).

Because of that, the number of potential buyers has gone down, which means your truck's value has gone down (supply and demand you know).
