My Surgery Date is Near
Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know I'm heading to Seattle WA Monday morning.
I have some pre-op appointments Monday and Tuesday. Shoulder surgeries are scheduled for Wednesday. I'll be admitted to the Seattle (Puget Sound) VA Medical Center after the surgeries on Wednesday. Don't know how long I'll be there, but I won't be on the site for awhile.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. Take care. I'll be back as soon as I can.

Surgery
Nothing is set yet, but I have an appointment to get the process started for a spinal stimulator next Friday ( the 10th). I justt get a temoporary one for 3 days to see if its going to work well enough before they implant the permanite model. I hope it works! I want to get off some of these high power meds. anyways. Nice Elk in your pic? I havnt hunted deer or Elk for years. But now I gueas I can get a combo hunting and fishing licence for $5 and shoot from the truck according to my Brother in law. But thats no fun. anyways I just hope that This stimulator deal works well enough that I can get back out to fly-fishing!!!
Anyways, My truck is my baby right now and am working on fixing it up (new gears, larger tranny cooler and stuff like that.
So your from Homedale? or was that someone else? I have 2 half brothers that live in Nampa and Boise.
Good talking to ya! Nice thats there is an Idaho Chapter!

"Disability must be certified by a medical doctor on a Fish and Game form."
This quote can be found on page 94 of "Big Game Seasons and Rules 2010" book. There is additional information regarding "Special Resident Permits" on page 95.
The "Handicapped Motor Vehicle Permit" is a separate permit and requires certification on a different Fish and Game form.
You might also consider having "Permanently Disabled" added to your driver's license. That's done through your local DMV and is a separate process not associated with the Fish and Game process.
One of the items on one of the Fish and Game forms asks if your driver's license indicates you're handicapped. I did this process some time ago (even though I'm a Lifetime Combo license holder) and it was fairly painless, but a little time-consuming. I live in Nampa and have my medical stuff taken care at the VA Medical Center in Boise.
If you have any doubts about what the requirements are, contact IDFG HQ in Boise or your Regional IDFG office. They'll point you in the right direction.
