New Shocks

I have an 03 F-250 5.4 and it's time to replace the shocks all around. I have found a skyjacker set for right around $40 a shock or some Rancho's that are around $90. I know Rancho's parent company designs the oem stuff for the super duty's but are they worth the price. My truck rides on a stock suspension and I almost never go offroad. I was just wondering what you guys where using and if they are good/bad shocks.

I've never been a fan of Rancho no matter what the vehicle.

IMHO, for off road Bilstein's are about the best, for street I am partial to KYB, especially for the Ford trucks. I had KYB's on my F150 and loved them.

Do an FTE search on the Rancho RS9000XL shocks. There are some good reviews.

Right now we are offering our No Limits rebate on our shocks.
They are made in the USA.
The Rs9000XL's come with a 90 risk free trial offer, you don't like them return them for a refund.
Limited Lifetime Warranty (save that receipt!)
9 points of adjustablity. Most run lower around town, bump it up to tow.

The RS5000's are a great shock as well.
good luck in your choice.
PM if you have any questions.

+1 I bought my 9000XLS last year with the rebate. LOVE them!

FYI I DID NOT care for the 5000 series, tried them twice on 2 Ford trucks, spend the extra, get the 9000 series.

Monroe

Can't really debate here since I have no clue about the "nice" shocks. My truck is coming up on 200K and I wasn't looking to put much in it. I purchased the Monroe GasMagnums and they are much better than the stock. Then again, I bought the truck with 180K and the original shocks, so my "original" might not be the best.

I can tell you that I ordered all four and they were a little over $100. I am completely satisfied with them too.
