Hypertech and Superchip owners with 09-10 5.4
Looking for owners of Ford F-150 2009-10 5.4
Hypertech model 42003 +35Hp@4800rpm, +42ft-lbs@4400rpm,
Superchips Flashpaq 1865 + 38HP, +57TQ
Superchips Cortex 1950 + 38HP, +57TQ
Price wise all three are in the 300-375 range but the Cortex probabely is the higher end of the three and comes with a 2 year powertrain warranty.
Superchips website isn't running at full and is updating and I'm looking for more info on them like the 2 year powertrain warranty and if its all that or not worth it and should just get the Flashpaq?
Also the Cortex can be used on a second vehicle but is there an additional cost to this and does the Data Acquisition have a additional cost?
Pro's and Con's please from actual owners

Ok, I'm not an owner of either of those, but I do have another tuner. Those "reported gains" are nearly impossible on pump gas, and to even come close you'd have to run 93 octane at the least. Further more, if those claims are true, I'd be worried about the longevity of the engine and tranny as those numbers are pretty stout for a gas engine. I'm not saying it's not possible, but that's REALLY aggressive.
Any reason why you'd want "canned" tunes as opposed to custom tunes?

2006 Ford F-150 5.4L V8
27HP-30TQ with the Superchips
Hypertech
Premium Octane: +25HP +40TQ
Regular Octane: +16HP +28TQ
It seems the canned tunes are getting way better then they once was and theres plenty of dyno video's to confirm the 87 octane and numbers with the hypertech on the 09/1's. I know alot of people use SCT and custom tunes but truck is stock and I would be happy with one of these as I can adjust myself.
