I didn't measure it, but I'd guess it would be about 6'11" or so from the ground to the metal on the liftgate.

The extended length of the 4x4 lift support is 14".
The extended length of the 4x2 lift support is 14.72".
The extended length of these is 15.87"!
There is another support available with an extended support length of 15.25".

The liftgate will support all the way up to 16.5" before hitting the roof of the vehicle. Someone 5'4" can reach the pulldown handle all the way to 16.25". The only thing to watch out for is the liftgate hitting the roof of your garage if the ceilings are low.

Lou Fishman is incredible to work with. Highly, highly recommended.

$22.05 each.
Lift Supports
Just ordered me a set. thanks

Hey guys. I'm looking to do this mod but want to go as high as possible. I saw the first post says we can go up to 16.5" before running in to probs. The compressed length of the stock shocks looks to be 9.97". Anyone know what's the max of that compressed length we can go? I want to get the right size in with no binding or fitment probs.

Wow, that's way up there. Mine touches the bottom of the garage door (when up) now with the 2wd struts. I'm sure this would be very handy when backed in over a sidewalk though.

For those wondering, the RAS suspension mod only raises the back end a slight amount - maybe an inch...two at most.

I'm 6'4 and don't get anywhere CLOSE to hitting my head.

It's incredible and puts a smile on my face every single time I use it.

I just installed the ones from the link and took my own measurements when installing.

From the top of the hitch receiver tube to the grab handle from 52" to 61" That's a gain of 9" in the opening height.

This means that from the ground to the grab handle is 79" with stock tires. That will allow stand up clearance for a person 6'7" !

Just gone mine in and installed today. Ordered them on 12/30 with the standard shipping option and even with the holiday I got them today. Not bad. WOW what a difference. My 05 4x4 is stock and I got the same measurements as jasonodsky above. Great great mod and well worth the price. So nice to be able to stand and walk under my tailgate while lifted now. I know my Great Dane will appreciate it too when jumping out the back now.

...yup, they are GREAT! Don't know that my short wife can reach it, but easy enough to put an extension on the grab handle on the inside.

Blue labels, the mark of the high lift gate club.
